FWW CHALLENGE - PADI SWIM ABILITY TEST



Equipment – Pool

Aim – To test your ability to swim and stay afloat without equipment

Technique – Warm up with some lengths. It doesn’t really matter what order you take these tests in and you can rest between them.


Tread water/float – You need to stay afloat for 10 minutes without assistance or stopping. Use any technique or combination of techniques you want. Just don’t stop.

Swim – You need to be able to swim 200m (300m if you use a mask and fins) in one attempt without stopping.


I'm not one to make excuses but I flunked this test. The reason for this was the pool temp which was HOT! It was Jacuzzi temp! I massively overheated and felt like death when I got out of the pool.
