40 STRONG

40 STRONG is a hard 40 day challenge. Its purpose is to make you mentally and physically stronger, focused, resilient and productive by committing for 40 days to 7 SIMPLE RULES.

First off this isn’t a weight loss challenge. This challenge is about habits, focus, and dedication. It’s you vs you, not you vs food. Having said that, if you follow the rules I’m pretty sure you will lose weight.

The challenge starts on Monday the 15th Jan 2024!

 

THE
SEVEN RULES

Workout

You will use the app to follow workouts.

Move

There will be an daily movement standard.

Drink

You will have a hydration target.

Eat

You will have a nutrition target.

Sleep

Guidance will be given about what's expected.

Plan

Clarity will follow when you organize.

Eliminate

You know your weaknesses. Eliminate them.

the cHALLENGE

For 40 days you stick to the plan. You knuckle-down and work hard on yourself. While the 7 rules seem simple the amount of dedication you need to achieve the 40 days without missing a beat is formidable.

While you are participating in this challenge along with a small group of people you are ultimately only accountable to yourself.

If you miss one of the days then you will have to select a penalty that you feel reflects the failure. This is for you to determine yourself based on my recommendations.

THE WORKOUTS

The workouts are delivered via a personalized and state of the art app available on both Android and ios.

As you go through the workouts you can watch videos for technique demonstrations and enter your reps and weights for every set

 

The app remembers your weights so it provides great motivation for repeat lifts and takes away any guesswork.

The program is user friendly and also allows for integrations for thins like of smart watches and Myfitnesspal etc.

THE group

When you sign up you are automatically enrolled in a group of fellow challengers.

Here you can choose to participate in any way you wish. Ask questions, share photos or simply observe.

 

I will be posting to the group as unit in this space.

FAQ'S

Can I cancel? – Yes and No. Once you start there are no refunds but if you make a request before the challenge starts you will be refunded.

​How is the challenge delivered? – When you sign up and pay you are automatically enrolled on the challenge which starts on the 15th Jan 2024. Your enrollment will be recognized and prior to the challenge you will be sent information on what to expect next. Once the challenge starts you will record your workouts in the app.

In this app you can watch videos of the exercises, log your lifts (weights and reps etc), rate your workouts and track your progress. I can also message the entire group with updates and suggestions.

What equipment? - It's rare that resistance machines are used but this program requires reasonably well equipped gym with a minimum or barbells and dumbbells with enough weight to challenge you and some basic cardio equipment. Obviously the more equipment you have the better as it means you will have to make fewer substitutions.

Why is this different from others? - The training program itself is great but the way it's delivered and the interactive nature your workouts are logged is a game changer. The fact that others are also completing the same program also means that this doesn't have to be you Vs you anymore if you don't want it to be.

What level are the workouts for? - Anyone can do these workouts but I would recommend you don't start the program until you have some basic lifting experience. All exercises come with videos to check technique but nothing beats having done the movements well beforehand.
